Course Registration

Current students
Prior to each registration period, a Schedule of courses will be posted on the LOTS website. The time for the registration period is stated in the Academic Calendar and the registration should be completed according to this. Late registrations incur a late registration fee.
The students determine their course. All course registrations should be filed before the semester starts (see How to Apply to find the appropriate forms). Information about personal password will be sent out to the student via e-mail before the registration period starts.
Registration is not final until the Honour Code has been formally accepted and signed.
The University reserves the right to drop any course from the schedule for which enrollment is considered insufficient.

First-time registration
All course registrations should be filed before the semester starts (see How to Apply to find the appropriate forms). The dates for the semester are in the Academic Calendar. The students determine their course registrations in accordance with the degree plan sheet together with their academic advisor. Information about personal password and academic advisor will be sent out to the student via e-mail at the time of admission to the university.
Registration is not final until the Honour Code has been formally accepted and signed.
The University reserves the right to drop any course from the schedule for which enrollment is considered insufficient.

Dropping and Adding Courses
Students may drop or add courses, with the approval of their academic advisor and the departments in which the courses are offered, within the first two weeks of classes, provided the total load does not exceed 18.5 credits.  Permission of the Dean is required to exceed 18.5 credits.
When a course is dropped after two weeks, a “W” is recorded for students passing at the time of the drop. For students not passing, “WF” is recorded. Students withdrawing for a class after the twelfth week receive a “WF”. The “WF” is counted as an “F” in determining the grade-point average.
Any course drop after the second week of classes (or during the first day or later of a Modular course) will incur course tuition and must be made via the form “Course withdrawal”.

Audit privilege
Students may, with the approval of the instructors and their advisor, audit, without academic credit courses offered by the Seminary.  The Audit Privilege allows the students to attend classes for personal enrichment without having to fulfill the academic requirements.  (Students do not have to take the tests). Required courses in any degree programs may not be audited.  Regular class attendance is required in order for the student to maintain an indication of audit on the transcript.  If students do not meet the audit requirements for a course, a ”no pass” will be recorded on the transcript.
