Living in Uppsala
Moving to a new city, and especially to a new country, always takes a lot of planning. At the same time it provides an exiting opportunity to see new places and to meet new people and build friendships that can last a whole lifetime! At Livets Ord Theological Seminary we do not have the resources for example to search for housing for you but we want to help you in the planning process as much as we can! Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Housing
We make the request that married students live together for the duration of their studies, whether one or both of them are students. Livets Ord Theological Seminary has no student dormitories and this means that the students are responsible for finding their own accommodation. But Uppsala is a university town and has plenty of accommodation.

Prices for housing vary of course according to the standard you require, but taken as a guide, the price for one room in a shared apartment ranges from SEK 2000 to SEK 4000 per month.

There are different ways of finding housing in Uppsala. Here are three places where you can find private housing announcements:
    Local newspaper Upsala Nya Tidning
    Web-site called Blocket
    Web-site called Just Landed

Do you have children?
Livets Ord University is a part of the church that also runs the Word of Life Bible Centre, as well as primary, junior and high schools. If you would like your children to attend one of these schools, please apply in good time. Contact the School at  +46 18 489 80 80 . Word of Life's children's and youth work is extensive and offers many fun and sound activities. A truly unique mix that the whole family can be a part of and enjoy!
