Livets Ord Theological Seminary seeks candidates from among those who demonstrate strong Christian commitment, high academic ability, outstanding moral character, personal integrity, and the desire to pursue a liberal arts education in a Christian environment. These qualities are evaluated by considering each applicant's academic record, personal essay, test scores, recommendations and participation in various activities.
    As a nondenominational seminary, LOTS School of Higher Biblical Studies and Missions seeks to prepare students for Christian ministry within their own particular tradition, church and culture. Although intentionally evangelical, we believe it is important to embrace a diversity of theological understandings that can enable our students to continue with their uniqueness so that they may effectively relate to their particular spheres of influence. Our philosophy seeks to introduce students to the ongoing dialogue concerning the nature of the Church and to broaden their awareness of the larger Body of Christ.
