What to Study
Theology
Christian maturity comes from a solid knowledge of the Bible and the ability to learn from the past, to think deeply, and to formulate an integrated and balanced Christian theology of life with clearly defined goals, purposes, and values. Theological studies, and its main focus on Biblical literature, exposes students to a broad spectrum of hermeneutical and exegetical perspectives, tools, and methods so that they may interpret the Bible responsibly and perceptively within a theological-historical framework. The historical-theological area emphasizes the essentials of Christian belief faithfully preserved by the ancient Church in the universally accepted creeds and clearly articulated by the great Christian thinkers of the past and present. The study of theology prepares students to go into the worlds of religious thought and practice to testify to the Truth.
